VeriSign Messaging and Mobile Media, a division of VeriSign, the provider of internet infrastructure for the networked world, has been selected by Wilmington Trust, a Delaware-based financial services holding company to provide text banking services to its clients.

Reportedly, the clients will be able to access banking information, such as ATM and branch locations, personal account information, and recent transaction history via text message, enabling added an access to real-time information via their mobile devices.

Rebecca DePorte, senior vice president of personal financial services for Wilmington Trust, said: “By working with VeriSign, we are now able to provide our clients with convenient, secure mobile access to their accounts.”
