Using PrivatBank’s payment application Privat24, customers can complete Western Union money transfer directly devices such as smartphones, online, in self-service kiosks, or through ATMs.
Western Union Eastern Europe and CIS regional vice president Alexandru Badulescu said, "Expanding of our electronic channels and providing our clients with more convenient ways of sending and receiving money is one of the key areas of Western Union business strategy."
Previously, the money transfer application was available only for smartphones on Android platform, according to the payment processor.
In order to execute a transaction through their Idevices, a client now needs only a PrivatBank card and install the application in the mobile phone or device.
According to an estimate, more than 700,000 clients are using PrivatBank’s mobile payment application Privat24, whereas the bank registers nearly 2,000 new subscribers every day.
Additionally, the bank’s customers can also send and receive Western Union money transfers in 3394 PrivatBank’s branches and 8155 ATMs, receive money transfers at any of 4 653 banks’s self-service kiosks across Ukraine.
