The new offices will provide better overseas payment services to companies and organizations that operate internationally in both markets.

Services in Austria and Germany will be offered through the Western Union International Bank, headquartered in Vienna and payments can be executed in more than 135 currencies to over 200 nations and territories globally.

Western Union Business Solutions president Raj Agrawal said due to time and resource constraints, navigating through the world of international payments can be a daunting task for companies, especially for SMEs.

"Our services will help demystify that process and improve the efficiency and ease of their cross-border payments, so they can focus on growing their business," Agrawal added.

According to a study, there are more than 2 million SMEs in Germany and Austria.

The new opening follows recent expansion in Jordan, Chile and Poland.

As of 30 September 2012, the Western Union, Vigo and Orlandi Valuta branded services were offered through a combined network of nearly 510,000 agent locations in 200 countries and territories.
