Wells Fargo has expanded its ExpressSend remittance service to the online channel. Reportedly, Wells Fargo offers international remittance products to seven countries from the US – Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, India, Philippines, Vietnam and China. Customers can now send an ExpressSend remittance transaction through its online portal, making the remittance service available 24/7.

According to the bank, the features of ExpressSend Online include: country distribution for account deposit and cash pick up of remittances in overseas locations; e-mail notification and a detailed ‘alert’ in online session and customers can view all of their valid, open ExpressSend Service agreements and up to 18 months of remittance transaction history.

The bank has further added that its ExpressSend customers can send funds to their beneficiaries through their choice of four options – account to account, account to cash, cash to cash, or cash to account.

Daniel Ayala, head of global remittance services, Wells Fargo, said: “Many of our remittance customers are online banking customers, and prefer the flexibility and convenience of conducting their financial transactions at our online site. This new service helps fill that strong customer desire for anytime, anywhere banking. Wells Fargo’s remittance products are offered as value-added products to help us build relationships with our customers.”
