Schroder Asia, which is headed by Khing Go, will start its banking operations on 18 April 2011.

Schroder & Co Asia group head of private banking and chairman Philip Mallinckrodt said that having a banking license in Singapore will enable Schroder to provide enhanced private banking and investment management services to its private clients in Asia.

Schroders has been active in Singapore since 1976, and presently employs more than 200 people in Singapore, across its institutional, intermediary and private banking business.

Schroder operate from 32 offices in 25 countries across Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Middle East.
