BMW Japan Finance (BMW Finance) and Citi Cards Japan, the exclusive issuer of Diners Club cards in Japan, have launched two new co-brand cards ‘BMW Diners Card’ and ‘BMW Premium Diners Card’ in Japan.

The bank has said that starting from October 28th, 2009, the new BMW Diners Cards will be accepted in all BMW dealerships when used to purchase a BMW vehicle. In addition, for any purchases made using the credit cards, cardholders earn non-expiring points for use in the cash back program, the benefits of which can be applied towards shopping transactions at BMW dealerships. The credit cards also offer automobile services such as BMW emergency service.

The new benefits and services of BMW Diners Card are club point cash back program, BMW original gifts, electronic toll collection system card without annual fee, and discounts and other benefits at high-end hotels and at car parks near airports.

Serge Francis Naudin, president of BMW Finance, said: “We are very delighted to launch new BMW Cards in partnership with Diners Club. We believe that the word, ‘Premium’ has a connotation that conveys the high quality of products and service, the history of the providers, and the established brand image.”

Dennis Hussey, president of Citi Cards Japan, said: “Diners Club, throughout its 50 years in Japan, has strived to innovate and provide new lifestyle services and experiences to our esteemed members. Diners Club is privileged to be partnering with BMW in this regard. We are confident that the power of BMW and Diners Club will enrich our members’ lifestyles today and in the years to come.”
