US Bank, a subsidiary bank of US Bancorp and Visa have announced that Visa Mobile is now available to select US Bank debit card holders. Visa Mobile is an application to bundle alerts, offers and a locator service. The alerts provide an added layer of security and enable cardholders to manage their US Bank Visa accounts with near-real time updates.
The application can be downloaded to mobile devices powered by Android, the Open Handset Alliance’s open source platform for mobile devices.
The service features include alerts for Visa account holders to be notified of account activity like transactions, purchases, declined transactions and card not present transactions.
The account holders can choose for offers from various merchant categories like electronics, convenience stores, entertainment, flowers and gifts, gas stations, travel, health and beauty. The locator feature, to locate merchants where Visa Mobile users can redeem offers or filtering down to find near-by US Bank ATMs.
