Elmore and Stone will succeed Richard Hartnack, the vice chairman of consumer and small business banking, and Chosy will replace Lee Mitau.

All three appointments will become effective on 1 March 2013, according to the bank holding company.

Having joined the company in 1988, Elmore is currently the executive vice president of community banking.

In his new role, he will be responsible for the management of the bank’s branch network, including metropolitan and community banking and in-store and on-site banking.

Stone joined the firm in 1980 and is presently serving as executive vice president consumer banking.

He will oversee the bank’s overall consumer and small business strategy and product management functions, as well as residential mortgage lending and all consumer lending activities.

Chosy comes to US Bancorp from Piper Jaffray Companies, where he worked as general counsel and secretary since 2001 and before that he was associate general counsel at US Bancorp.

As of 30 September 2012, US Bancorp had $352bn in assets and operates 3,086 banking offices in 25 states and 5,080 ATMs. The company offers banking, brokerage, insurance, investment, mortgage, trust and payment services products to consumers, businesses and institutions.
