Union Bank senior vice president and product management head Don Gilmore said the new platform will enable its clients to provide a streamlined billing and payment process so that they can focus more on growing and managing their business.
The new technology will allow the bank’s customers, irrespective of sizes, to present bills and/or paper online and collect electronic payments using a hosted environment.
Based in California, the financial services company said that the technology will offer customer flexibility while meeting the highest standards for information security.
DirectBiller is available in various configurations, which produces complete reports, and take advantage of rapid time to market, while providing an array of alternatives for accessing and paying bills, including web, mobile, voice or agent.
Union Bank operates as a primary subsidiary of UnionBanCal Corporation headquartered in San Francisco, which had assets of $97bn as at 31 March 2013.
The bank manages a branch network of 443 offices in California, Washington, Oregon, Texas, Illinois, and New York as well as two international offices.
