Mark Wheatcroft, former head of syndicate for EMEA at UBS, departed as part of an internal restructuring of primary market coverage in the bank, reported Reuters.

In his new role, Peter will be accountable for all of UBS’s primary market activities including government, covered and senior bonds, as well as bank capital and oversee the operation from London.

Having 25 years of financial sector experience, Peter has been associated with an array of European financial institutions in brokering, trading and syndicate roles.

In 2006, he joined from HSBC to manage the bank’s covered bond business and syndicate and most recently, he was managing UBS’ covered business and financial flow syndicate, EMEA.

Founded in 1854 and headquartered in Basel and Zürich, Switzerland, the bank has operations in more than 50 nations, and nearly 63,000 staff.

It offers an array of financial products and services, including retail banking, private banking, and wealth management services across the globe.
