TT’s new OSE gateway directly connects its X_Trader derivatives trading platform and related electronic trading products to OSE.
According to the TT, the new gateway will enable TT customers to trade a range of securities-related futures and options products listed on OSE including Nikkei 225 futures, mini and options plus Russell Nomura prime index futures.
With the release of the new OSE link, TT now connects to four of Japan’s five derivatives exchanges.
In May 2009, TT released its Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM) gateway, and last month TT began providing access to Tokyo Financial Exchange (TFX) and Tokyo Grain Exchange (TGE).
TT intends to extend the full coverage to the Japanese derivatives markets later this year with a new link to Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE).
Through this connectivity, TT customers will have the option to spread OSE products against contracts listed on all TT-supported exchanges.
OSE CEO Michio Yoneda said that TT’s new derivatives trading connection to J-Gate is testament to the increasing focus on Japan by the international trading community.
"We believe that this commitment will mutually benefit and further strengthen TT’s position as one of the leading global ISVs, and further elevate OSE’s position as one of the premier derivatives markets in Asia," Yoneda said.
TT currently provides connectivity to approximately three-dozen exchanges in North and South America, Europe, the Middle East and the Asia/Pacific region.
