With the technology implementation, SCBAM’s portfolio managers will be able to simultaneously manage multiple portfolios, automatically track orders on the dealing desk, and monitor cash positions in real-time.

SCBAM can also widen its investment capabilities by accessing key markets and counterparties through Charles River FIX Network.

Charles River managing director-APAC Cameron Field said that fund managers, like SCBAM, are seeking integrated technologies to ensure a competitive edge, both domestically and internationally, amidst growing use of FIX electronic trading in Thailand.

"Full integration between Charles River IMS and the Charles River FIX Network gives SCBAM direct access to sell-side brokers and trading venues, improving trading reliability and increasing the value of their investment in Charles River," Field added.

Established as an affiliate of Siam Commercial Bank on 18 March 1992, SCBAM handles mutual funds, provident funds, and private funds under license from the country’s Finance Ministry.

Charles River serves more than 350 investment firms in 43 countries in the institutional asset and fund management, private wealth, alternative investments, insurance, banking, pension and custody markets.
