Tesco Bank

The bank claims to have around 450,000 logins to its Mobile Banking App each week and more than a third of log-ins to view a balance.

The new feature has been created to enable customers check their balance on their smartphone quickly by simply dragging down the Balance Peek ‘drawer’ on the login screen.

Tesco Bank digital and marketing director Grant Bourbousson said: "We want to offer customers the most accessible and convenient digital banking experience possible, both online and via mobile.

"Since we launched the Mobile Banking App last year, we’ve seen many customers log in to the app every day just to check their balance. To help these customers, we created Balance Peak to provide simple, fast and convenient access to their account balance on the move."

The feature can be set up through the settings menu once the customers login to the app. They can select any or all of their accounts to view through Balance Peek and will be able to change or turn off the feature completely.

Customers see only the selected account balances and partial account numbers when opening Balance Peek and are required to log in to the app to carry out any transactions.

Tesco Bank’s Mobile Banking App also delivers various useful features to help customers manage their finances easily.
