Offering personal as well as convenient banking experience to users, the new Tangerine Mobile Banking Apple Watch app will facilitate access to personal banking information including account balances, recent transactions and transaction details.

Clients will be able to see the most recent account transaction at any time and can also set account (balance over/balance under) and transaction thresholds (transaction amount below/transaction amount above).

The app will offer convenient notifications, whch can be dismissed or accessed to get more details pertaining to the transaction.

Tangerine, which has more than 1.9 million clients and close to $38bn in total assets, was launched as ING DIRECT Canada in 1997. The bank was acquired by Scotiabank in 2012, and operates independently as a wholly-owned subsidiary.

Tangerine offers no-fee daily chequing and high-interest savings accounts, GICs, RSPs, TFSAs, mortgages and mutual funds.
