An affiliate of Capitol Bancorp, Sunrise Bank operates through its branches Bank of North Georgia, CB&T of Middle Georgia and First State Bank and Trust Company in Atlanta, Jeffersonville, and Valdosta respectively.
As temporary branches of the Synovus Bank divisions, all the three branches of the acquired bank will reopen in Atlanta (Bank of North Georgia), Jeffersonville (CB&T of Middle Georgia), and Valdosta (First State Bank and Trust Company) on 13 May 2013.
The branches will continue to serve the needs of existing Sunrise customers until all the accounts are transferred to Synovus Bank systems.
Following completion of the transaction, the deposits will continue to be insured by the FDIC up to applicable limits, while Sunrise Bank customers will continue to use their existing branches until further notice.
