Reyl & Co chief executive François Reyl said that the city was a major wealth management and investment fund centre and the British capital is a true gateway to Asia, the Middle East, Russia and the US.
"Our efforts in London will initially focus on wealth management activity," Reyl added.
Since the opening of its first Paris overseas offices in 2004, the lender has launched its offices in Luxembourg in 2009 as well as formed a Singaporean subsidiary in 2010.
The new office, which comes after the launch of Singapore office two years ago, will be managed by Ladislas Safyurtlu who had worked with Pictet & Cie and Morgan Stanley in London.
Having joined in 2007, he will concentrate on the lender’s wealth management business and oversee corporate advisory services to entrepreneurs, family offices and other wealthy individuals.
Reyl & Co has a workforce of 160 staff and provides wealth management, advice to family offices and asset management services.
