Previously, Wessel was head of equities at First Securities and he will take up his new position immediately.
Eriksson was previously acting head of equities at Swedbank and he will start in his new role in the beginning of April.
In addition to the broker/dealer operation in New York, Swedbank also have recruited Yvan de Munck as head of equity sales and Jason Fink as head of equity sales trading.
De Munck and Fink were previously at KBC Bank in New York where they were responsible for European equity to US investors.
Swedbank global head of investment banking Jorgen Ulvness said Tomas Eriksson has agreed to take up the position as head of broker/dealer operation in New York.
