Based at the bank’s regional headquarters in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Tom succeeds Apoorva Shah and will report to Andrew Suckling, M&A global head; and Daniel Azzi, regional head of global markets & co-head wholesale banking, MENA and Pakistan.

Prior to accepting the current role, Tom was working with the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) as head of corporate finance and equity capital markets (ECM) for Middle East and Africa.

Before joining RBS, he served ABN AMRO’s EMEA investment banking team for a longer period.

Commenting on the selection, Andrew Suckling said Tom’s strong M&A advisory knowledge and on-the-ground experience will further enable the bank to tap Middle East M&A market and work closely with its clients.

Managing more than 1,700 offices in 70 markets and employing 87,000 staff, the group provides an array of financial services to its customers across the globe.
