Kumar will be based in Singapore and will report to George Nast, global head of Product Management, Transaction Banking.
In his new role, Kumar will be responsible for delivering overall cash management and trade finance profit and loss, strategy and product development across Standard Chartered’s global network.
Kumar has over 15 years of banking experience. He was previously the bank’s global head of Local Corporate (LC) Products & Receivables Management.
Commenting on his appointment, Kumar said he is proud to be given the opportunity to lead the cash and trade product management in Standard Chartered.
