The bank has announced that Ken Fugate, the senior vice president of the bank’s Silicon Valley branch will be a part of the new office and Bob Nortwick, the bank’s senior vice president and regional manager for the mountain northwest region will continue to oversee and work with the venture community in Colorado.
Prior to Square 1, Mr Fugate worked in Denver as a venture banking officer with the technology and life sciences division of Comerica Bank, which was formerly Imperial Bank’s emerging growth division.
Mr Fugate said: I have continually been impressed by the vibrant entrepreneurial community in the Colorado area and I’m thrilled to be back. They have supported and embraced Square 1’s focused approach to working with venture backed companies.
