Calypso Technology, a global application software provider of an integrated trading and risk management application suite to the capital markets industry, has announced that Korea-based commercial bank, Shinhan Bank, has gone live with the Calypso platform for derivatives trading in the front office.

Calypso said that Shinhan Bank has selected its services for credit risk hedging and derivatives trading, to support the launch of banks new business segment. Calypso’s flexibility and scalability were also key decision factors as the bank searched for a system that was capable of covering different asset classes, could cope with rapid business growth, and adapt quickly to market requirements and changes.
