Harland Financial said the addition of uOpen solution for online account opening, along with DecisionPro for consumer loan origination and underwriting, will create a complete straight-through lending process for the bank that gives customers the ability to submit loan applications online.

Shelter Bank obtains most of its business from the 1,300 insurance agents who submit their customers’ loan requests via an online application process. The combination of the self-service model provided by uOpen and the integrated decisioning process of DecisionPro will help the bank.

Shelter Bank senior vice president of lending David Dingler said the tight integration among uOpen, DecisionPro and LaserPro enables the bank to streamline its lending process. The three products together give the bank a straight-through solution that automates the entire origination process.

According to the Harland Financial, the uOpen, part of the uBanking suite of self-service solutions, enables financial institutions to offer automated account opening across all delivery channels.

DecisionPro is a consumer loan origination system that automates the majority of credit underwriting steps to makes it faster and easier to process a credit application by providing policy-based automated decisions or recommendations.

The integration of these two solutions and their compatibility with LaserPro delivers a compliant and complete lending solution with one point of administration and maintenance.
