The new partners are Allianz Global Investors, BlackRock, HSBC and Newton, which join Artemis, Baillie Gifford, Barclays Global Investors, Close Teams, Fidelity, Invesco Perpetual, Investec, JP Morgan, Schroders, SG Asset Management, UBS and Royal London Asset Management as investment partners.

This enhancement brings the total fund choice within the core range to 82, and means that policyholders will have access to nine new actively managed equity funds in the UK equity, global equity and managed fund sectors. A further seven passive funds have also been added within the global equity, Japanese equity, Asia-Pacific equity, long gilts and corporate bonds sectors, including a global equity fund that offers investors exposure to companies engaged in Shariah-compliant activities.

Nick Leitch, head of investment marketing at Scottish Life, said: These new funds and fund partners are part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring that our customers have access to a strong core investment offering. The new funds complement our existing range and offer customers equity access to a broad range of geographical areas and different investment styles, from an impressive selection of investment managers.
