Schroders, a UK-based asset management firm, has appointed Marina Bottero as head of property fund management in Italy. She will be responsible for Schroders’ Italian property business and its expansion.

Ms Bottero has over 20 years of experience in the Italian commercial real estate sector. From 1992 to 2002 she ran the Milan office of Jones Lang LaSalle. She moved across to Beni Stabili where she held positions in fund management, acquisitions and asset management. Between 2005 and early 2009 she led the investment team of Hines, Italy.

Neil Turner, head of property fund management at Schroders, said: “This is an important further, investment in our fund management platform and follows other senior appointments this year, including Buddy Roes to head up the logistics business for Schroder Property.”
