The new application is equipped with three funds availability capabilities, including a standard option of two business days, an intermediate same day availability option, and an immediate availability option.
Regions consumer services head Scott Peters said that the new application provides more options that are easy to use and that fit the customer’s lifestyle.
The new technology, which integrates many aspects of traditional deposits and the ability to reload a prepaid card, has been developed in collaboration with Kony Solutions and Chexar.
Regions eBusiness head Chris Cox commented, "More and more people are using the mobile channel to manage their finances, and we believe providing customers the ability to load a prepaid card or have immediate funds availability is significant."
Having $121bn in assets, Regions Financial through its banking subsidiary operates approximately 1,700 banking offices and 2,000 ATMs and offers consumer and commercial banking, wealth management, mortgage, and insurance products and services.
