The Royal Bank of Scotland has hired Paul Feidelson for its syndicate team within its wholesale banking division, global banking & markets (GBM). Mr Feidelson joins as MD and head of commercial paper, Americas. He will primarily be responsible for building a commercial paper desk to support the further development of the US short-term franchise.

Mr Feidelson joins RBS from Barclays, where he most recently headed the investment & product platform for Barclays wealth in the Americas, following the acquisition of Lehman Brothers in September 2008. Prior to that, he served as the senior and founding member of the special investments group at Lehman, where he was responsible for managing the syndicate process for that firm’s private equity franchise and other special investment opportunities for its private investment management division.
