According to the banks, the new branch will offer its complete range of services for SMEs and individuals, from accounts, deposits and investment options to credit cards and personal, auto and mortgage loans.

The new branch in Al Jazirah Football Club is accompanied by a Rakbank Wealth Management center next door to cater to the bank’s growing clientele in Abu Dhabi.

Rakbank general manager Graham Honeybill said expanding the branch network in Abu Dhabi is in line with Rakbank’s commitment to raise its profile in the capital over the coming years.

"Even as Rakbank explores the new trend for online banking services with the recent launch of Rakbank Direct, the Bank continues to scout for opportunities to expand its branch and ATM network across the UAE as part of its customer-centric approach," added Honeybill.

Rakbank said it plans to open one more branches in the capital by the end of this year, bringing the total number to six branches in Abu Dhabi by the end of 2011.

The bank currently has 30 branches and 100 ATMs spread across the UAE.
