The bank said that the mobile banking service is available on smart phones as well as conventional mobiles to ensure that all their customers can make use of the service.

According to the bank, the mobile banking services has been structured into two distinct services, where a service will be available for smart phone users of Etisalat and Du.

Alternatively, other service will be available for Etisalat subscribers, where the customers will have opportunity to dial *169# from their mobile phone and receive access to a menu of services.

Both of these solutions will enable the customers to track their accounts, loans, and credit cards along with other services such as balance enquiries, utility payments and fund transfers.

The bank also offers an the option of opening a new account, Rakbank F@st S@ver account, an interest-bearing online savings account, through mobile banking.

The mobile banking platform also offers the added service of ‘Contact Us’ through which customer can access the bank’s multiple communication channels including phone banking, online feedback forms.

Rakbank head of personal banking Ian Hodges said that Rakbank implements robust security features into the application to ensure that the customer’s confidential details are protected.

"The bank ensures that the application does not store any sensitive information or transaction details on the phone to keep the Rakbank mobile banking experience secure and reliable," Hodges said.
