According to the bank, the branch will provide integrated banking services to both personal and business customers in the Barwa-Al Wakra village.

The new branch will provide all banking and financing services including opening of all types of bank accounts, bank deposits, financing, money transfer, bank cards, and other Islamic banking services.

QIB acting CEO Ahmad Meshari said this branch is part of an ambitious plan to open 35 branches by 2012 in order to be closer to the customers across the country, and meet the growing demand for top Islamic banking services in Qatar.

Meshari added, "The Wakra-Barwa has become a strategic spot closer to the high populated Airport and Al Wakra districts. Due to its location on the highway that links Mesaeed Industrial City to Al Wakra, Doha International Airport, government and private institutions, this branch is well placed to serve QIB’s customers of all categories."
