Postbank, a Germany-based multichannel bank, has launched a service for its customers, to determine the card limit for withdrawals at ATMs abroad individually. The service allows customers to change their withdrawals settings through bank’s online banking, in writing or via telephone banking by contacting bank’s call center.

The bank has claimed that customers can change the weekly limit for withdrawals abroad for all Postbank cards. Moreover, the limit can be changed on a daily basis. It has added that the change will be effective within less than an hour. Depending on the level of the account balance and/or the credit limit granted for the account, the limit can be set to a maximum of 7 times the daily limit.

Additionally, the customer can increase the limit for their account for a vacation or a longer stay abroad, and decrease it again after their return. Postbank recommends setting the limit to zero for customers who do not use their Postbank card abroad.
