According to the firm, this will enable it to perform new one-click bill payments for consumers when Volly launches to consumers later this year.

As per the agreement inked, users will be able to pay fees and bills by authorizing Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments from their bank or by credit card in instances where the biller accepts credit cards.

Volly president Chuck Cordray said online bill payment is now an everyday fact of life for tens of millions of consumers in the US.

"Integrating this feature into the Volly service right up front will make it an appealing alternative to the current, fragmented process most people use to receive, store and pay their bills," Cordray said.

ProfitStars president David Foss said, "This strategic partnership with Pitney Bowes provides the opportunity to leverage our proven payments platform with the innovative Volly digital mail communications service to provide consumers with a next-generation e-commerce offering."

The company claims that the Volly secure digital delivery service, facilitate users to receive, view, organize, manage, pay and store bills, statements and other content from the companies they do business with.

It has also the ability to consolidate this information from multiple providers, thus minimising the consumer’s need to visit multiple websites or send physical checks through the mail.
