Routh has extensively covered companies within the cable, media, and entertainment sectors since the mid-nineties.
He will be responsible for initiating Phoenix Partners’ coverage of the same sectors in his new role. Phoenix Partners launched its institutional equity sales and trading team earlier this year.
Prior to joining Phoenix Partners, Routh was director of equity research with independent equity analysis firm Wedge Partners. He also served previously as managing director and senior equity research analyst for Jefferies & Company, where he covered cable, media and entertainment companies.
He had similar equity research responsibilities in positions he held earlier in his career at Natexis Bleichroeder, Ladenburg Thalmann & Co, Merrill Lynch, and Bear Sterns & Co.
