It also has new functionality to support customer service initiatives and operational efficiencies in the channel for retail banks outside of the US.

The new offering enables flexibility in serving customers and drive increased productivity, through increased control over customer sessions and cashless support for non-monetary customer servicing needs, said the company.

The Siebel Branch Teller is also fully integrated with Oracle Business Intelligence, simplifying and streamlining report creation for timely operational insight, Oracle said.

In addition, the offering features expanded general ledger transaction capabilities, as well as functionality for facilitating international wire transfers. These features allow US-based banks to index details for and format an international wire transfer with International Bank Account Number (IBAN) support.

Oracle financial services product management group vice-president Ashwin Goyal said as banks expand their online and wireless presence, they remain focused on optimising customer service and operational efficiency at the branch level.

"Oracle Siebel Branch Teller 8.1.1 gives banks new flexibility and power to provide personalised service to an increasingly diverse customer base, while streamlining branch operations and reporting," said Goyal.
