The bank has appointed Gregory Beals as vice president and he will serve as the retail banking manager for the new Gig Harbor banking office.

With more than 20 years of expertise, Beals has served in senior leadership and business development positions with Washington Mutual Bank, Evergreen Mortgage Company, and Homestreet Bank.

Opus Bank retail banking executive vice president Debbie McLeod said the new office presents tremendous opportunities for clients in the Gig Harbor to conveniently access the bank’s suite of banking products, services, and solutions.

The bank is also planning to open new banking offices in Seattle and Tacoma later this year, in order to boost operations in western Washington.

Headquartered in Irvine, California, Opus Bank had $2.7bn of total assets, $1.9bn of total loans, and $2bn in total deposits, as of 30 September 2012.

The lender delivers numerous banking products and services to small and mid-sized commercial businesses, entrepreneurs, real estate investors, professionals, and consumers.
