Online Banking Solutions (OBS) has launched Messenger Mobile Services (MMS), a new mobile channel to further support commercial banking transactions for banks’ business customers using Online Messenger, a multi-channel, event-based information and file delivery platform. OBS has claimed that Online Messenger consists of a base system for bank, customer administration and various services and delivery channels that support data and information processing, transformation, delivery and reporting.
OBS has said that in addition to the TEXT/SMS notifications already supported by Online Messenger, users may choose the mobile channel to view account balance, transaction information and special reports; to initiate account-to-account transfers, pre-defined payments or payment batches; and receive service alerts, payment advices and urgent notifications.
Reportedly, MMS will provide a mobile banking channel with applications for iPhone and Blackberry smart phones. Security has been enabled through a one-time pass code for entitled business accounts and subscribed services. Additional functionality includes secure transaction approvals and positive pay exception and decision support.
Dan Myers, CEO and founder for OBS, said: “Adding the mobile channel is a logical extension of Online Messenger and a new value-add product for OBS’ client banks. To date, most mobile banking implementations have been for consumers, but in today’s economic environment, financial executives need to have anytime-anywhere access to business bank accounts as well. It was time for a vendor to step up and deliver mobile functionality for businesses, and with Messenger Mobile Services, our clients’ commercial customers will benefit from the added convenience and flexibility of managing business accounts and cash flow from their smart phones.”
OBS is a technology company providing Cash Management and Business Banking information, payment, data delivery and automated enrollment solutions to Financial Institutions.
