Norwich Union said that its ‘Make Sense of It’ site is aimed at consumers who want to learn more about managing their money and helps users understand the basics of investing. It also highlights the benefits of taking professional advice and provides a ‘Find an Adviser’ tool that allows users to search for a local financial adviser.

The site also includes scenarios – where consumers can read about others in a similar situation, calculator tools, a jargon buster and an option to save favorite articles, scenarios and results.

According to the insurance firm, its research shows that many consumers are confused by the range of investment options on offer and are increasingly asking for easy-to-understand information and advice.

Norwich Union also said that it will be adding more product areas to the site over the next few months, including pensions, annuities, protection, equity release and healthcare.
