In his new role, Hoffman will manage all aspects of the firm’s New York Personal Financial Services business, including client service and new client development.
Hoffman, who joined Northern Trust in 2003 when the firm opened its New York office, will reports to the firm’s northeast region president and CEO Jeff Kauffman.
Prior to joining Northern Trust, he worked at US Trust for eight years where he served as a senior vice president in its high-net-worth planning group.
He was also associated with The AYCO Company as a senior financial planner and was a member of the firm’s investment planning committee.
Kauffman said John has been instrumental in helping them build a successful business for Northern Trust in New York and the broader northeast region.
"With his strong background and experience advising and servicing complex relationships, John understands how to deliver a consistent, high value client experience," Kauffman concluded.
