In his new role Everitt, who has over 20 years of experience in financial services, will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of global fund services in the UK.

He joins Northern Trust from Capita Group where he was the managing director for the Asset Servicing business and reports to Glaysher.

The appointment follows as part of Northern Trust’s strategy outline in November 2010, where Peter Cherecwich had been appointed as global head of Global Fund Services and Toby Glaysher as head of global fund services Europe.

Glaysher said Fund managers are contending with increasingly complex investment, distribution and regulatory strategies and requirements and, as a consequence, we are seeing ever more demand for our outsourcing services, especially our middle office and fund administration functions.

"Laurence’s expertise and experience in both the UK and offshore markets will support our ongoing work to develop and deliver solutions that cater to our clients’ evolving and increasingly sophisticated requirements,"Glaysher said.

Northern Trust’s Global Fund Services unit provides fund administration and investment operations outsourcing solutions to more than 400 asset managers across the globe.

It supports multiple fund structures across multiple domiciles and jurisdictions and has expertise in traditional and alternative investment vehicles.
