The bank said that the online bill pay upgrade will available immediately with many new benefits and features, including better cash flow control and the ability to accept electronic bills.

E-statements and e-message alerts will be available by the end of January. They will allow customers to set up automatic reminders to help manage finances, such as low balance alerts.

Go Banking, a mobile banking programme that is also expected to be available by the end of January, allows mobile access to online bank accounts. It allows customers to securely login to their accounts, pay bills, transfer funds and view transactions.

Scott Louis, EVP and chief operations officer, said: “This is one more step to provide NVB customers with the banking flexibility necessary for today’s fast-paced world, with the management tools to allow customers to bank from wherever and whenever they choose, as well as an ongoing benefit of helping to increase customer security against identity theft.”
