Nomura Securities International, a US broker-dealer within Nomura has released a set of algorithmic trading strategies for external client use in US equity markets as part of the global ModelEx family of strategies.

Reportedly, the new strategies are expected to complement Nomura’s European and Asian algorithmic trading suites, which have a track record of competitive execution performance. ModelEx strategies are built upon Nomura’s trading analytics, and employ results from years of research in topics such as risk analysis, transaction cost modeling and alpha signals.

Nomura has said that initially, Nomura will offer the following eight core strategies: VWAP, TWAP, WithVolume, IS, Target Close, On Close, Target Open and On Open. Additional strategies are under development and testing. Clients can access the strategies through a growing list of third party order management systems.
