Nomura, the Japan-based global investment bank, has appointed Birendra Agarwal as managing director and chief information officer for Nomura Services, India (Powai).
Reportedly, Mr. Agarwal will be based in Mumbai and will report globally to Simon Lucocq, Global & Asia Pacific Wholesale CIO and locally to RK Rangan, president and CEO of Nomura Services, India. Mr. Agarwal will be responsible for managing the technology support across global business units such as equities, fixed income and investment banking.
