Bank of Ningbo, a Chinese city commercial bank, has implemented a trade processing software called Opics Plus from Misys, a provider of application software and services, to strengthen its operations at its Ningbo head office.

Misys has said that its Opics Plus is a treasury and capital markets software for front-to-back office, cross-asset processing of a wide range of financial instruments. The platform handles vanilla and complex derivatives, fixed income and equity and treasury trades.

Misys also said that the Misys software will be used for a wide ranging number of functions including deposit and loan deal, fixed income deals, swap deals and foreign currency business.

Sunny Leung, sales head of solutions for treasury and capital markets for North Asia region at Misys, said: Misys Opics Plus provides an intuitive user interface which is designed to offer improved levels of flexibility and adaptability and the customizable desktop that can be tailored to the preferences of both individuals and groups of user is a key component of the new software.

The Bank was founded in 1997 as the Ningbo Commercial Bank. In 2007, it changed to Bank of Ningbo. It has relocated several major departments from Ningbo to Shanghai.
