For the quarter period ended on 30 September, its revenues stood at $1.44bn, up by 6% from the third quarter of 2011, which includes a negative impact of 3% as a result of foreign currency translation.

NCR chairman and CEO Bill Nuti said, "Steady execution during the third quarter resulted in solid financial results keeping us on track to deliver in line with our full year financial and business objectives."

Financial services segment revenue were $791m, an increase of 3% from the third quarter of 2011, while operating income was $80m against $81m in the third quarter of 2011.

The retail solutions segment generated revenue of $421m, down by 10% from the third quarter of last year, while operating income was $28m, up by 47% from $19m during the corresponding period earlier year.

The hospitality segment revenues increased by 258% to $129m, versus $36m, while operating income stood at $23m, with an increase of 360% from $5m, during the comparable period, a year ago.

The company expects that its full-year 2012 revenues will increase in the range of 11 to 13% on a constant currency basis compared with 2011.
