Adoption of the technology by banks and credit unions will allow consumers to carry out remote, assisted-teller transactions by talking to a live teller who controls the machine.
It is expected that the US-based company will commence pilots for APTRA Interactive Teller with some 10 US banks during the first half of 2013.
NCR and uGenius jointly built the first ATM in 2011, which enables banks to provide a face-to-face banking experience and more services to their customers.
It also helps them access cash in their accounts in amounts over the standard ATM daily cash withdrawal limits.
In January 2012, NCR purchased a minority stake in uGenius.
Benefiting from other uGenius technologies including SmartOffice and Online Video Banking, NCR believes that it will boost the delivery of video banking to multi-channel solutions across its financial services and other industry verticals.
