IBM served as lead delivery partner, SAP as software provider and Axxiome as banking technology delivery specialist, in the development of new banking platform.
The account FlexPlus will cater an array of benefits such as worldwide travel insurance, mobile phone insurance, UK and EU (European Union) breakdown assistance among others.
Nationwide Building Society CEO Tony Prestedge said the adoption of new banking platform has enabled the company to meet the customers’ expectations by offering time relevant product and services.
"It’s easy to use functionality means customers can now check balances, and make payments on the go which is increasingly important to consumers as we now all expect a variety of ways to bank," Prestedge added.
Designed to support all of the Society’s products, the banking platform fully integrates with its internet bank and mobile banking application.
Serving 15 million members through a workforce of 15,000 employees, Nationwide provides savings and mortgages services in the UK, as well as current accounts, credit cards, ISAs and personal loans.
