Expected to be fully operational in September at more than 50 of the bank’s branch locations, the addition of Intesa San Paolo Bank increases MoneyGram’s money transfer network to more than 100 locations throughout the Bosnian market.

Intesa San Paolo Bank division director Amir Termiz said, "Making MoneyGram’s money transfer services available at our bank locations will provide a valuable service to those who bank with us as well as consumers who do not, but still have a need to send or receive money around the world."

MoneyGram regional director Marietta Doxopoulou said that Bosnia is an attractive region to build the company’s network and money transfer services and provide access to conveniently sending and receiving money.

Currently, majority of money transfer sends to Bosnia originate from Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the US, according to the World Bank.

The company offers bill payment services in the US and Canada as well as money transfer services worldwide through a network of more than 321,000 agent locations, including retailers, international post offices and financial institutions, in 198 countries and territories.
