Moelis & Company, a New York-based investment bank, has established a new office in Sydney, Australia, with the hire of a five-person team to cover the Australian and Asian markets. The new Sydney office will be Moelis & Company’s sixth office globally.
Reportedly, Chris Wyke will join the firm as managing director. He will join the firm in September from JP Morgan’s investment banking team in Sydney. Julian Biggins will join the firm as a senior vice president, along with three other investment banking professionals. Mr. Biggins was most recently a member of JP Morgan’s investment banking team.
Additionally, Ben Wong will join the firm as a vice president in September from JP Morgan and Phil Newman and Paul Rathborne will join the firm as associates.
