BankUnited has appointed Douglas Pauls as its new senior executive vice president and CFO. Mr. Pauls will oversee the company’s internal and external financial reporting, asset/liability management and investment portfolio. He will also be active in regulatory reporting and will serve as a member of the senior management team.
Mr. Pauls most recently served as CFO of Commerce Bancorp, which was purchased by TD Bank Financial Group in March 2008. Earlier in his career, he spent ten years in public accounting with Ernst & Young, serving as senior manager in the Philadelphia office.
