At Wells Fargo & Co, both wealth experts were spearheading over $1bn in client assets for Abbot Downing family wealth business, the US bank said.

According to the Bank of America’s Merrill Lynch, Jones and Vogel joined its private banking and investment group in the fourth week of July this year.

Abbot Downing business of Wells Fargo & Co was floated after the merger of Lowry Hill, a boutique wealth management firm, which was previously trading as a separate subsidiary of Wells, the bank said.

Based in Wayzata, Minnesota, US, the two advisers joined the team of Swenson Jones & Associates, a part of Merrill Lynch’s private banking and investment group, which offers services to ultra-high-net-worth clients.
