MasterCard Labs is the global research & development unit of the payment processor, dedicated to create new payment technologies with greater speed and accuracy.

He will concentrate to build and lead modern programs covering ideation through to commercialization, in support of the development of new, innovative payment technologies, and will relocate to Singapore.

The company has assigned Neal to exploit the external sources for additional ideas. He will be responsbile for engaging with the innovation community across the AP/MEA region.

Prior to joining MasterCard, Neal was working for Microsoft as the financial services industry director for the Asia region and provided banking and financial services expertise to strategic partners and enterprise customers throughout Asia.

He joined the Asia regional team in 2010, and prior to that, Neal was the banking innovation lead in the Microsoft Australia subsidiary.

Established in 2010, MasterCard Labs is the company’s global research and development team, which is spearheaded by chief innovation officer Garry Lyons.
